Welcome to LessonPlanner (the "App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Abdelkarim Sinouh ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the App and its related services.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.
1. Description of Service
LessonPlanner is an AI-powered educational productivity tool designed to assist teachers and educators in creating, structuring, and exporting pedagogical lesson plans. The App utilizes third-party Artificial Intelligence (specifically, Google's Gemini API) to generate content based on topics, instructions, photos, or documents provided by the user.
2. Subscriptions and Payments
A. Free and Premium Tiers
The App offers a free version with limited functionality (e.g., a daily limit on generated plans, restricted uploads, limited PDF templates). A premium subscription ("Pro") is available on a monthly or yearly basis, which unlocks advanced features, unlimited generations, and premium PDF templates.
B. Billing and Auto-Renewal
All payments, subscriptions, and refunds are securely handled by the applicable app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and managed via RevenueCat.
- Payment will be charged to your app store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
C. Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription or manage your auto-renewal settings at any time by going to your Google Play or App Store account settings. Uninstalling the App will not automatically cancel your subscription.

A. Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to the original text, topics, photos, and PDF textbooks you upload or input into the App ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license strictly to process, transmit, and use the content for the sole purpose of generating your requested lesson plans via our AI providers.
B. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Upload or process highly sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information of your students.
- Generate content that is unlawful, harmful, offensive, or inappropriate for an educational setting.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or bypass the App's billing, daily limits, or subscription mechanisms.
- Infringe upon the copyright or intellectual property rights of third parties (e.g., uploading proprietary textbooks without the right to do so for personal/fair use).
4. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer
AI-Generated Content is Not Infallible. LessonPlanner uses advanced generative AI to create lesson structures. However, AI can sometimes produce inaccurate, incomplete, or contextually inappropriate results ("hallucinations").
By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You, as the educator, are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all generated lesson plans before utilizing them in a classroom setting.
- We make no warranties regarding the absolute accuracy, pedagogical perfection, or reliability of the AI-generated output.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App, including its underlying code, UI/UX design, templates (e.g., Modern Purple, Classic Minimal, Timeline Editorial), branding, and original content, are owned by the Developer. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for your personal and professional educational purposes.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE APP; OR (B) ANY CONTENT GENERATED BY THE APP.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
